Copper alloy thimble. Pressed metal domed or conical thimble with a foot ring. The wall is occupied by finely machine-stamped pits which appear as if ascending the wall in diagonal lines. The top is occupied by a rectilinear grid or lattice of larger indentations. Chipped at base. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1850-1900
